The Reckoning by Kelley Armstrong

      Chloe Saunders, a young but powerful necromancer who had the ability to raise the dead to be her zombies even when she's asleep, and Derek, an intelligence and protective werewolf had reunited with Simon and Tori, both of them are wizard and witch. Now, they are safe with Andrew, an old friend of Simon's dad, who's in the group of supernaturals who are working to fight against the Edison Group. But what they don't know is that Margaret, and Russell, also in the anti Edison Group, are working for the Edison Group to capture Chloe and her friends.

      Margaret and Russell killed Andrew and Gwen, a young witch who's also in the anti Edison Group. They captured Chloe and her friends back to the Edison Group's lab and they're about to get kill. But when Chloe got back to the lab, she met a spirit of a demi-demon who will help Chloe and her friends escape if Chloe agreed to free the demi-demon's soul, this is the only chance for Chloe to escape, but a demon is a demon and who might knows what will it do when Chloe frees it. Will Chloe be able to save her friends and escape this hell in the normal world? Read the book to find out! In my opinion, I think that this book is the best out of all three of the Darkest Powers series because it is suspenseful and it have an awesome plot.

The Awakening

          Chloe Saunders and her half-demon friend, Rachelle, and Tori was captured by the Edison Group. At the Edison Group, Chloe found out that not only Liz is dead, but Brady and Amber, both are previous patients from the Lyle House. Both Tori and Chloe escaped the Edison Group and went to find Derek and Simon, and as Chloe left, she had to witnessed her Aunt Lauren being tortured by an evil witch, Tori's mom.

          Chloe and Tori met up with Derek and Simon they were going to New York City to find Simon and Derek's dad. But soon, Chloe and Derek had to split up with Simon and Tori because Derek was going through a Change, and that means that he had to turn into a werewolf for a while. After Derek had finished his Change, Chloe and Derek went to New York City, but they encountered with a group of two werewolves and they were going to capture Derek to sacrifice him for the Pack. Will Derek and Chloe be able to get away from the werewolves and meet up with Simon and Tori? Read more to find out! I think this book is hilarious because it had some inside jokes that cracked me up and it is also very suspenseful.

The Summoning

Since Chloe Saunders was little, she was able to see ghosts. But her mother had given her a ruby necklace to block her from seeing ghosts. Now 15, Chloe had her puberty and her ability to see ghost came back. One day, she saw a burnt janitor coming for her at her own school and she was sent to Lyle House, a home for troubled teen because of freaking out. At Lyle House, she was told that she's schizophrenic. But it wasn't that Chloe's schizo that troubled her, the thing that troubled her was that Derek, a mysterious teenager also at Lyle House told Chloe that she's a necromancer. Chloe soon discovered that every teens in Lyle House had supernatural powers and Chloe was having a plan to run away with Derek and his brother Simon to find their missing dad. But the Lyle House's people found out and they're chasin Chloe and her friends with guns. Chloe soon found out that she and her friends had supernatural powers because they are experiments for a group called the Edison Group and that the Lyle House also belonged to them. She also found out that fail experiments like her friend Liz, will get kill. Will Chloe and her friends get away from the Edison Group? Read more to find out! I think that this book is suspenseful and interesting and i really like it because the characters in this book had supernatural powers.
