Tree-ear, an orphan who lives under a bridge with a homeless man named Crane-man in Ch'ul'po. Tree-ear was fascinated with pottery. Everyday he spent his time watching master potter Min do his work, and sometimes he was so into it that he forgot his time to find food for Crane-man and himself.
