7) You Have Made A Difference - Brian Asselin & Eric Disero

I want to offer the song “You Have Made A Difference” written by Brian Asselin and Eric Disero to all of my teachers that had taught me many experience throughout my life. This song connects to me because it talked about being thankful to your teachers, and I wanted to thank every teacher of mine for giving me a lot of knowledge over 12 years of my life. You guys had shaped my mind, changed my life, and made a difference in me as the lyrics of the song said “You have made a difference, you have shaped our minds, you have changed the world.” Thank you for everything that you guys did to me and if one day I become successful in life, I would never forget you guys.

6) Love Remains - Collin Raye

The song “Love Remains” by Collin Raye was dedicated to my family. In my family, there’s my mom, dad, my brother, and I have two sisters. I chose this song because it talked about family love, it talked about even though, there are problems in our life, and we still got our family to share it with us. I love my family because we went through all the problems together and we shared all our joy and sad things together as a family so that’s why I love my family. This song is especially dedicated to my two sisters, even though I’ve never met you guys before, I hope you’re living a happy life in heaven, we really missed you guys and I really wish that in another life, I could be your brother again.

5) A Song For Mama - Boyz 2 Men

I selected the song “A Song For Mama” by Boyz 2 Men because the lyric of the song is exactly how I feel about my mom and how I love her. My mom was the one who gave birth to me and the one who raised me to be the person who I am right now. My mom was the person who worked really hard for me to go to an expensive school; she was the one who gave me knowledge about life and how to be a good person when I grow up. Mom was always there for me when I made a mistake in my life and she’s the first to yell at me for my mistakes but she’s also the first one to forgive me. I don’t know how I’m going to live without her and I’ll never be able to, I love you Mom.

4) I'll Be There For You - The Rembrandts

In your life, you will have friends, you can have friends from all over the world, friends from your school, and friends from your neighborhood, even your parents or your little brother and sister can be your friends. In that case, I have a lot of really close friends. Sometimes, we would get in fights and be mad at each other, but in my heart, I would really want to be friends again with them and would be willing to do anything for it. That’s the reason why I chose the song “I’ll Be There For You” by The Rembrandts because it talked about close friendship and the band said that they would be with their friends even if their friends are having a bad day because they’re true friends. In the song, my favorite part of the lyric said “I’ll be there for you, cause you’re there for me too” because my friends were always beside even if I’m miserable, or happy and they would share it with me. In my opinion, I would have serious mental problems without my friends because they’re the main reason that I found joy and they helped me understand myself better.

3) Summertime - Aaron Carter ft. Baha Men

Everybody knows that there are four seasons: Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter. Out of those four seasons, Summer is my favorite season because I have no school, nothing to worry about, and I can have fun all season with my family and friends. That’s why I chose the song “Summertime” by Aaron Carter because it is all about summer, leaving behind the worries, and especially, having fun. I also love going on vacations with my family on summer like to the beach, to other countries, and of course, to visit my relatives living far away from me. I remembered that my first summer, my family and I spent it traveling around Singapore and Malaysia, we went shopping, we went to amusement park and took a lot of pictures, and it was really fun. That’s why I love summertime.

2) First Day Of School - ThePennyWill

I chose the song “First Day of School” and it was made by a youtube user named ThePennyWill. In the song, it talked about the first day of school and about how nervous people were when people first experienced school. This song reminded me of myself when I was little and it was the first day of kindergarten, I was very terrified and I cried and was afraid of going to school. But after I met my friends and teachers, I wasn’t afraid anymore, in fact, I love going to school.

I chose the song “Born This Way” by Lady Gaga because it talked about being unique and even though you’re born with disabilities or you’re born having different skin with other people doesn’t mean you’re imperfect. For example, a part of the lyrics said
“I’m beautiful in my way, cause God makes no mistakes, I’m on the right track, baby I was born this way” and I’m born as a Vietnamese and I am proud to be who I am.
